Ghazala Posted 4 February , 2014 Posted 4 February , 2014 The South African Museum at Delville Wood has re-opened.
Tom Tulloch-Marshall Posted 4 February , 2014 Posted 4 February , 2014 Any sign of the "shop" reopening, or that now definitely a dead-duck ? Tom

SiegeGunner Posted 5 February , 2014 Posted 5 February , 2014 I think the shop/café or whatever it was meant to be has long been a lost cause. Just so long as they keep the toilets open and serviced! In the longer term, if anyone has any influence with the SA management of the site (perhaps the local mayor?), they might perhaps be prevailed upon to let/lease the unused premises to someone interested in running a suitable business (café/bookshop, maybe) there.

A excellent idea. I think the subject of catering outlets at 'Somme circuit' sites, has been touched on before on the forum. However, it is difficult to think of a better site for such a facility.
