Dave Phillips Posted 4 February , 2014 Posted 4 February , 2014 Found the War Diary available to Download from the NA. So extensive it came in three parts. Would you believe that early October (the part I'm interested in) is missing! I've contacted the NA and hope they can find it. Does anybody have a copy for early October 1917? Frustrated I am!!! Dave
rflory Posted 4 February , 2014 Posted 4 February , 2014 The 2nd Battalion HAC moved into the front line near Dickebusche on 7/8th October 1917. It remained in the front lines until being relieved by the 13 DLI on the night of 10 October 1917. During the period 7-10 October the Battalion lost eight officers killed and seven wounded; 49 ORs killed, 189 wounded and 42 missing. The Honourable Artillery Company in the Great War covers the battalion during the period 7-10 October in some detail on pages 322-325. Regards, Dick Flory
