Frank Harold Hyde 5500 The Hertfordshire Regt

My Great-Granddad Frank H Hyde 5500 apparently served with The Hertfordshire Regt prior to being transferred to 13th RSR at some point in Sept 1916. I was wondering if anyone can give me any more info about his time in The Hertfordshire Regt?

If you want to check out www.hertsatwar.co.uk we may have some info available for him and also have the Herts Regt War diaries published (courtesy of Steve fuller). also we have plenty of unpublished records that may mention him, where was he from?
