Guest Hill 60 Posted 3 October , 2004 Posted 3 October , 2004 Having a look at SDGW (and cross-checking with CWGC) I have found 3 other MP's who died on today's date in 1918 (as apposed to 1917 for Sgt Golding on SDGW). All were Sergeants, the first two were KIA and the third DOW. 672 James Lee Born: Macclesfield Enlisted: Curragh Residence: Weymouth Formerly: 10214, Lancers of the Line. Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead Grave/Memorial Reference: V. E. 31. Cemetery: LONGUENESSE (ST. OMER) SOUVENIR CEMETERY Were James and William Lee related? (Could they be related to me as part of my family are called Lee....and no I wasn't named after them). Their numbers aren't that far apart. James and William are buried in adjoining graves, and both were (on SDGW at least) listed as killed in action.
