Pte. William Jackson (157) RAMC

And here is another one chaps.

I have got hold of an identity disc. It is the green one from the pair (issued from August 1916).

On one side it reads "157 JACKSON" all in a haphazard way.

On the other side is a much neater "138".

There is a MIC for a 157 Jackson - Private William Jackson of the RAMC. He was entitled to the pair.

The service number is very low - any thoughts about that? Also what the 138 on the other side means?

Thanks all.

Regards.
