Obtaining the orignal of this book in the early 80s', the then chairman of the MGC OCA put me in touch with George Coppard with whom I subsequently corresponded. Staffsyeoman Posted 9 January , 2014 Share Posted 9 January , 2014 Hmm... I think I paid less than that for the second printing in hardback (the edition with Horne inspecting the MGC (Motors) on the dustjacket), in pristine condition!
2ndCMR Posted 22 June , 2019 Share Posted 22 June , 2019 Am just reading this now, and while comprised of typical veteran's anecdotes, it is of interest certainly. There is a tipped in note from the author, giving his address. I cannot help wondering what became of the many other submissions he must have received from veterans of the MGC, but could not or did not include in the book. Are his papers known to exist somewhere? The note in this book gives his address in 1974.
