Who was General Poole

Did a google search on Poole but couldnt find anything... just want a brief bio, full name etc.

He was traveling with Surg-Gen Macpherson to Salonika Nov 1915. I found a bit on him.

Brigadier General A.J. Poole is mentioned in Alan Wakefield and Simon Moody's book 'Under the Devils Eye'.

Page 77 in chapter 5 The First Battle of Doiran.

'Brig-Gen Poole (commanding 79th Brigade) sent forward two companies of the 8th Duke of Cornwalls Light Infantry (DCLI).'

79th Brigade was part of the 26th Division commanded by Major General A.W. Gay this division attacked the most heavily defended section of the Bulgarian lines at Doiran and suffered very heavy casualties.
