wwrsimon Posted 20 December , 2013 Share Posted 20 December , 2013 Hello everyone I'm looking for some info about the loss of the above pilot, who was killed on August 10th 1915. He had been on a sortie against a Zeppelin, and his aircraft crashed whilst attempting a landing at RNAS Westgate in fog. His death was well-reported in the press at the time, and he is commemorated by a memorial in St John's Cemetery in Margate. The memorial cross has been granted Grade II listing due to its historical importance. Does anyone know the identity of his aircraft?
