Could anyone identify the existence of this officer, he might even be a former Bantam officer? It could be ARKH or the 'r' could be an old-fashioned 'i', though there is no dot, giving AIKH

Would be most grateful for any help

Regrds

I am quite sure that you have misread his name. I think it should be Major Frank Manning Arkle, MGC, formerly 2368 Kings Liverpool Regiment.

Please excuse the slight delay in replying. The 'Major' fits, the 'F M' fits and the end of the surname ARKH the 'h' could be an l and a sloppy e. You might well have found him. My most grateful thanks
