What can anyone tell us about this German Cap, Feldmutze?

This German cap is in the collection of Bishop Bonners Cottage Museum in Dereham, Norfolk. The cap has 'BA VI 1915' or 'BA VII 1915' printed on the inside, can anyone please tell us what BA VI signifies? Also what would the missing badges have looked like? I have attached some photos of the green and red cap post-0-0-92310300-1385062839_thumb.jpgpost-0-0-69810100-1385062855_thumb.jpg is Feldmutze the right name for it?
