WW1 U-BOAT PHOTO ALBUM

Here I'm seeking help with a recently purchased original WW1 German album ..there are some great photos of WW1 U-boats and crew members .

Unfortunately , there are no captions ...and many of the photos have badly faded ( a few have completely gone ) .

I do own another WW1 U-boat album which dates to 1915 and features U-25 surface attacks on merchant shipping .

Please excuse my use of the word SAMPLE on the images ...But I have grown tired of images being taken from forum sites and resold on ebay and other places by a few naughty folk .

I have 1200 dpi scans offered on a disc .

Hello Kath , I asked the question a few weeks back on the WW1 forum of U-boat .net , surprisingly had no response .

Adrian , you may well be correct ..but my gut feelings suggest it is not the same man ...I have viewed hundreds of original albums , so used to searching for the face of an original owner and comparing faces

Not easy to define , but I would suggest "my " officer is a more handsome chap (not really relevant but I'm a heterosexual) :) ... also Petz ears seem more pointy with smaller lobes . I hope you are correct as I would really like his identity .

Cheers jim

Also a UCII minelayer, which had external torpedo tubes forward to each side of the mine chutes. Presumably the same boat as the above photo of the mine being loaded. Presumably another torpedo would have followed to the starboard side as a reload and locked down in the storage location visible at the bottom (front) of the right-had photo.
