The 2014 Chelsea Flower show will have two military charity (ABF, The Soldiers' Charity & Help for Heroes) backed show gardens to 'celebrate' - The Daily Telegraph's choice of word, not mine - the centenary of the beginning of the Great War Click

To celebrate a date or event simply means to observe it doesnt it? it isnt disrespectful.

Yesterday (Tuesday 20th May) on the BBC's evening coverage of the Chelsea Flower Show, prizes were given, and the "No Man's Land" show garden, designed by Charlotte Rowe, won a gold award. From the TV coverage I thought that it was an excellent exhibit, and the little film about the garden and what inspired it (her grandfather, a 2nd Lieut. in the Middlesex Reg., wounded on 1st July 1916), is well worth watching, and can be seen here ( go to 15 minutes in).
