NigelS Posted 17 November , 2013 Share Posted 17 November , 2013 The 2014 Chelsea Flower show will have two military charity (ABF, The Soldiers' Charity & Help for Heroes) backed show gardens to 'celebrate' - The Daily Telegraph's choice of word, not mine - the centenary of the beginning of the Great War Click NigelS

Joseph Kerr1 Posted 15 May , 2014 Share Posted 15 May , 2014 To celebrate a date or event simply means to observe it doesnt it? it isnt disrespectful. J.
WilliamRev Posted 21 May , 2014 Share Posted 21 May , 2014 Yesterday (Tuesday 20th May) on the BBC's evening coverage of the Chelsea Flower Show, prizes were given, and the "No Man's Land" show garden, designed by Charlotte Rowe, won a gold award. From the TV coverage I thought that it was an excellent exhibit, and the little film about the garden and what inspired it (her grandfather, a 2nd Lieut. in the Middlesex Reg., wounded on 1st July 1916), is well worth watching, and can be seen here ( go to 15 minutes in).
