rclarke Posted 16 November , 2013 Share Posted 16 November , 2013 One of the people I am checking for the centenary, George Fergus Canning, was 13 in 1911, according to the census, so was presumably eligible for service at some time before November 1918. MICs have entries for more than one George Canning; two Hampshire Regiment and one RFA, 202857, 24410 and 64986. Is there an easy way to establish which might be the relevant entry, particularly as the cards don't carry place of residence or birth, both of which would have been Clanfield? Many thanks.
