tjp28blue Posted 16 November , 2013 Posted 16 November , 2013 Hello, Grateful for any information on the movements of 11th Battalion Sherwood Foresters during October 1918. I know that the 25th Division (of which the 11th was a part) fought in the Battle of Selle and were relieved on the 11/12th October. They rested until the 16th October and then I believe they took part in the second Battle of Sambre which did not start until early November. The soldier I am researching, Pte Arthur Bridger 92115, was killed in action on 24th Oct near Le Cateau. Would be over the moon if anyone can tell me what the 11th were doing between 16th and 26th Oct. Is there a war diary in existence for the 11th? Many thanks for your help. Regards, TJP
