Belonged to Captain William (Pat) Armstrong. 10th Hussars Killed at Arras in 1917.

Oh.....

I also thought at first the sign must be 29th Division, but 10th Hussars were part of 3rd Cavalry Division. I don't know what the sign is, but I'm fairly sure it's not 3rd Cavalry Div. A lot of the signs in use mid-war never got recorded.

96 Inf Bde wore similar, a flattened triangle in deep reed/maroon. the 29th had an equilateral triangle. Triangles were not uncommonly used in various shades of red.
