If anyone is lucky enough to possess the war diary of the 2/5 Sherwood Foresters can you please send me the diary entries for 24 - 28 September 1917? I am researching the 177th Brigade, 2nd North Midland Divison action near Otto and Dochy Farm during the inital stages of the Battle of Polygon Wood. Thank you all in advance!

Welcome to the forum.

For some reason the link that Graham posted doesn't appear to work anymore. Hopefully this one will. The diary appears to be split by date into two parts, each of which costs £3.30 to download.

It might be worth considering starting a new topic on your relative, giving as much detail as you already know.
