Apologies for the poor quality of this picture, taken inside West Harptree church on Sunday 10 November. The memorial is on the north nave wall near a window.

For anyone interested, the names are:

1901 Census shows Percy living with parents Benjamin and Rosina, but by 1911 his mother had died.

No clues as yet as to what relevance or why Elsworth should have been in brackets.

The birth registration for Percy in Q4/1897 gives his name as Elsworth Benjamin Croker. The mystery is why the military records list him as Percy.
