JOHN BALL Posted 15 November , 2013 Share Posted 15 November , 2013 For a very good write up on Lt Squibb's military career, try 10 Batt, "The Loyal North Lancashire Regiment 1914-1918" web site. John

Phil Eyden Posted 30 March , 2014 Share Posted 30 March , 2014 town (3).jpgtown (2).jpgCan anyone identify the town ? Presumably in Lancashire ? Victory parade ? i can confirm that those pictures are definitely Folkestone. The ornate building with the columns out front is the Guildhall on Guildhall Street. Until a couple of years ago it was Waterstones bookshop. Now the building has a cinema upstairs. http://www.folkestonetc.kentparishes.gov.uk/default.cfm?pid=1426

FROGSMILE Posted 10 November , 2015 Share Posted 10 November , 2015 Definitely Royal Dublin Fusiliers. It was not uncommon for officers to serve and die with regiments other than their parent unit.
