MichaelBully Posted 1 December , 2013 Share Posted 1 December , 2013 Thank you for posting this one SJ. Did Souter write anything else about the Great War and its aftermath? The website dedicated to him mentions alludes to his 'military service' but doesn't seem to give any further details, regards, Michael Bully http://www.williamsoutar.com/soutar.html
seaJane Posted 1 December , 2013 Author Share Posted 1 December , 2013 Michael, he had brief RN service before being invalided out with the beginnings of anchylosing spondylitis. I think there may be a few GW related poems in his early books but would have to check. Ajay Close www.ajayclose.co.uk used to be / maybe still is writer-in-residence at Soutar's house - I'm sure she'd be willing to help. Mention my name...
