Hi all , long time since last post , ive been researching Andrew brown 34894 Lan Fus, ive had some help from others but thought i would chance My arm to see if anything else may come to light , i know he was resident of oswaldtwistle and he served as a sniper also he recieved a bullet wound to the back , this info comes from the accrington observer also with a pic

No records seem to have survived, medal card = BWM and Victory Medal. Born 1886 lived 33 Newton St with wife Annie and daughter Florrie, he was a carter at the railway station.

Cheers for the info , spent ages searching for records on the off chance they survived ,the purpose for the research is that i hold his bwm and vic medals , good to have clarification from others more experienced than i

Everything helps, good to know his medals are safe and sound with someone who cares. Research would be a lot easier if all the service records had survived the blitz, but that's another story. Good hunting. Ralph.

He married Annie Lezemore in 1908 St Oswald.Florrie was born in 1910.

And living at 99 Newton street with wife and daughter on the 1911 census and a carter on the railways.

Ralph and roger thank you very much for this new stuff to me your help is appreciated , also the reason i have this mans medals is basicallyi collect to men from My home town where i was born and still reside has a little more meaning personally

Florrie married Ernest Townley 1936 same church St Oswald.

Found the following children - Susannah M born 1911; Christopher born 1912; Ethel B A born 1919; Annie born 1919 mothers maiden name Lezemore.
