Regiments who trained in otherparts of the country

I know that many members of the forum study the activities of a particular Regiment, Battalion or unit.

Most battallions and units trained in different parts of the country, away from their county base before going overseas.

Does any member know of a unit or battalion who came to the Cumbria area ( Cumberland, Westmorland or Lancashire- Furness district north up in to the lake district) to train during 1914/1918 period.

If there are such Units who were they and where did they go in the area.
