Doctord84 Posted 3 November , 2013 Share Posted 3 November , 2013 Took advantage of a sunny morning to go up to the recently restored memorial in Hengate, Beverley. Three of the four "models" held by the figures at the corners had disappeared over the years, no doubt because they were made of lead....The restored originals (in cast aluminium) look very good i think. We have the surviving lead battleship and copies of the models and I hope to do a small display at some point. A peaceful spot to sit and think in.
