Hi

This helmet was saved this morning from being sold as a novelty flower pot for the garden!

It has a white diamond and with an "8" on each side and is stamped HS 288 on the inside edge.

Can any one kindly help with identification?

Many thanks

Jonathan

Well saved! It looks like the scheme of the 42nd Division, the 8 standing for either the 1/8th Manchesters or 1/8th Lancashire Fusiliers.

I'll second that. Is there any liner left?
