Lancashire Fusilier Posted 2 November , 2013 Share Posted 2 November , 2013 Here is the link to a free download of ' The Sherwood Foresters in The Great War 1914-1919 1/8th Battalion ' by Captain W.C.C. Weetman, M.C., originally published in 1920. This book is full of great information about the Sherwood Foresters, their actions, their locations, Roll of Honour, Photographs and details of medal winners broken down by awards. A must for all Sherwood Forester buffs and anyone interested in WW1. http://www.gutenberg.org/files/20527/20527-h/20527-h.htm Enjoy, LF
Honora Posted 27 August , 2016 Share Posted 27 August , 2016 Dear LF Many thanks for this link - I found it useful in researching Private Philip Clavey of this regiment, who fell on 26 September 1917 I then discovered it is also available (including illustrations) at http://www.ajhw.co.uk/books/book311/book311.html Honora
