johnmelling1979 Posted 31 October , 2013 Share Posted 31 October , 2013 Hello everyone I am interested in the 9th Battalion of the Royal Fusiliers at the Battle of Transloy, on the days +/- 7 October 1916. My 3rd cousin 3 times removed.. Pte Tom Peel was killed there and has no grave. His name is on Thiepval Memorial which I visited in June 2013 So his remains are somewhere on the battlefield or in a "unknown grave" I hope to gather information on the whereabouts of 9th Batt as they began their attack toward Bayonet Trench etc I have read the Battalions account for the 7th October attack Is there a trench map for the royal Fusiliers? Any information would be helpful Cheers John Melling
