Are these ladies nurses?

Good Evening,

Could you tell me if the ladies in this photograph are nurses, members of the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps or something else?

The sign on the building in the background says "Sick Bay" which makes me think WAAC.

The rear of the postcard/photo is marked "CARTE POSTALE" do you think it was taken in France.

Thanks and regards,

They are Queen Mary's Army Auxiliary Corps. Their official (officer, with tie) is sitting to the right of the army officer. The woman on his other side appears to be a VAD.

QMAAC not employed as nurses but as clerks, cooks, drivers etc in jobs with the Army which might otherwise have been done by men. See The Long, Long Trail
