Remembering Today - 29 October 1918

Just to point out that the spelling of the surname today is incorrect. This young man was Charles William HUTCHINGS, the son of Arthur and Ada Hutchings of High Street, Steyning. His date of joining the Royal Air Force as a mechanic was 15th October, 1918, a few days after his eighteenth birthday. He died two weeks later at Norfolk War Hospital of influenza.

Thanks for changing it. He is on the war memorial at St. Andrew's Church, Steyning, which is one of the memorials that I've researched in the past.
