Record of War Service

I have just purchased a copy of a book presented to each member who served in the Great War, or to the next-of-kin of those who died on service, a short history of the war so far as the staff were concerned, with a brief particulars of their service.

I also at the same time purchased a book containing Australian War Photographs.

This contains a pictorial record from November 1917 to the end of the War.

If you require lookups or photos I am willing to oblige.

Hi John,

I just discovered my great-uncle was a conductor for LCC when he enlisted. (Bus/tram I suppose - not orchestral!)

James Johnson of Tottenham, 1892 - 1916.

If you could find anything I would be very grateful.

regards,

Ron Johnson

Hi

Could you please look in your London County Council list and see if there is any reference to a Robert Tucker or Harry James Tucker.

Many thanks

See attached inner cover from book.

Christina the only other information I can give you is that as there is no asterisk next to his name it means he survived the war.

Thanks John, I take it then it is not worth my purchasing a copy of the book as it will not tell me anything, unless I can prove it is him. Talk about one step at a time!!

Thanks for your help.

Christina
