sotonmate Posted 27 October , 2013 Share Posted 27 October , 2013 Only the SWB List C648 (Exeter) which shows enlisted 7Dec1914 and discharged on 6Sep1917 to wounds with SWB No 243755. The date of entry into France only gives as a replacement draft to either 1 or 2 Battalion as these were the only two there at the time. MIC reference C/1/102B5 gives original medal roll in WO329/1536 page 509 and this should show Battalion.

After a break doing other things I am now returning to my research of Henry Fisher's service. I am currently living in Ireland and will not be able to get to the NA for sometime. It would be appreciated if some kind PAL could identify his Battalion for me. Dave

HERITAGE PLUS Posted 2 February , 2014 Author Share Posted 2 February , 2014 Thanks Grantowi I'm Wiltshire bred (Devizes) and have been to the Museum many times :-) Nothing on their website though to link to Henry - they charge for research enquiries :-( Dave
