TommyAtkins94 Posted 26 October , 2013 Share Posted 26 October , 2013 Hi everyone, Picked up couple of bargains in The Works in Carmarthen, South Wales. Six Weeks- John Lewis Stempel. Just finished this and really enjoyed it really changed my view of the relationships between men and officer and full of interesting little anecdotes. Cost 2.99 so can't complain. Family At War - Jolylon Jackson. Focuses on the letters and sketches of serving members of the Foljambe family and includes introduction by Richard Holmes. Particuarly looking forward to this as I'm really interested in the personal accounts of the first couple of years of the war and this book includes accounts of Mons, Le Cateu, the Marne, the Aisne, 1st Ypres , Mount Kemmel, Loos and others. This cost me 3.99 and I probably would never have come across it otherwise so am chuffed. Quality printing and high quality personal and archive photographs. One more for the 'to read' pile. Cheers, Liam.
