Anthony Bagshaw Posted 25 September , 2004 Posted 25 September , 2004 My Great Uncle was killed in action 89 years ago today, he was 32. 10525 L/Cpl Edward Henry Eldred served with the 2nd battalion of the Royal Berkshire Regiment and is buried in White City Cemetery, Bois Grenier. He was killed in a diversionary attack for the first day of the infamous Loos battle. Edward was bron in Weedon, Northants around 1881 and we believe he saw service with the Northampton Regiment during the Boer War. Does anyone know his story? I am also trying to find his 1914-15 Trio and Memorial Plaque. Can you help? Think i saw his plaque on Ebay about a year ago, it will omitt his middle name according to his MIC. Cheers, here's hoping!!
