The Cambridgeshires at Camp

This film was made as a recruitment vehicle for the Cambridgeshire Territorials. The soldiers are at camp living under canvas in traditional bell tents. A bugler sounds the Reveille –the wake up call for the regiment. The soldiers are inspected by their Commanding Officer Lieut. Col. M.C.Clayton who is joined by Major General S.W.Hare. The regiment present arms and march around the parade ground . The soldiers collect food and beer from the mess tent before the afternoon’s activities which include boxing, running and high jump competitions. The film is designed to show life in the territorials in a favourable light. The end caption asks for recruits to apply to the Territorials.

Edit Just noticed, this is 1921 (I think?)
