AthollHighlander Posted 24 September , 2004 Share Posted 24 September , 2004 Not a book but a bi monthly publication. Don't know if its already been discussed but I subscribed a year ago and picked up all the back copies since its inception in September 01. Still got a lot to wade through but theres some really good pieces and may prove invaluable as reference in the future for some obscure piece of information. The emphasis is on individual stories, recollections etc rather than an academic overview of the war of which there are many. I personally intend to maintain my collection with no doubt a growing number of binders but wondered whether its popular with other forum members. AthollHighlander I think there is a following amongst some members and there are threads discussing various aspects/issues. That the editorial policy is non-academic and to give a voice to all, through open-contribution, has to be a winner in my opinion. There is talk of a similar publication for WW2. paul guthrie Posted 14 October , 2004 Share Posted 14 October , 2004 I was unimpressed compared to the cost & let subscription lapse but the miserable US$ had something to do with that.
