Tom,

what did you find for 19540? I had a look at MICs etc and think the soldier, James Ennis, survived, having transferred to 10th HLI.

Johnny old thing, you are of course correct. A bit of mix up. Sorry about that

Hi Tom and Johnny, many thanks for your help.

I am concerned with finding their enlistment dates - any help would be much appreciated

Could you figure it from their reg numbers?

cheers Tom. Wasn't sure if it was a case of 2 men with the same number.

Isadore, I've some info back at home and will post what I have as soon as I can. Deduced from SWB entries from soldiers with similar numbers.

In the case of 19540 James Ennis, he has a SWB which gives his enlistment date as 22/3/1915. Discharged 5/9/1918.

Isadore, the following could do with double checking but this is what I've managed to gather about the numbers you've listed.

Not a direct pin down of the enlistment dates of your chaps but hopefully enough to pin down a rough date range.
