Laird of Camster Posted 20 October , 2013 Author Posted 20 October , 2013 (edited) CWGC site reveals....... The memorial takes the form of panels set inside the north shelter building at the entrance to the Commonweatlh plots in Cologne Southern Cemetery. It commemorates 25 servicemen of the United Kingdom who died in Germany and who have no known grave. Of these, 19 are known to have died as prisoners and their places of burial are not recorded. The other six died after the Armistice by drowning and their bodies were not recovered. He appears to have a grave? But I can`t seem to locate were it would be from the cemetery map? butler Posted 23 October , 2013 Posted 23 October , 2013 I believe the reference shows him in Plot 4 Row A, both of which are noted on the plan. His head stone will be 16th along the row going away from the cross of sacrifice
Sandie Hayes Posted 23 October , 2013 Posted 23 October , 2013 Here's a photograph of his headstone. http://twgpp.org/information.php?id=3813465
