ezza6411 Posted 17 October , 2013 Posted 17 October , 2013 Above distant cousin (Service No. L/1115) was killed, along with 5 other sailors, on 25/04/1918 whilst serving aboard HMS Cowslip. His ship was torpedoed and sunk by U-boat UB105 off Cape Spartel. I would very much like to know more about Wm. John and his service in the Royal Navy; when he signed up etc & what if any medals he was awarded. Also what duties would his ship have been on at the time of the sinking. Can anyone help with this please.
