Oliver, was 'Killed in Action' this day, 15th October 1917, just his 2nd day of being at the front line support trench, NE of Zonnebeke, Belgium, at the gateway to hell. It was 6pm, during relief changeover, when blown up by a german bomb, a german tactic to increase bombing intensity when allied troops were changing over, amongst all the chaos. Aged 23 years.

Buried in the field, grave unknown, but I do have a Trench Map Reference 'Sheet 28.D.16.d.3.4', and I give you my word, Oliver, I will one day visit this place, and pay my respects.
