C/Sgt Joseph Arkless 22/1654 Northumberland Fusiliers

Joseph appears to be in the 1911 census age 56 years old. His SWB entry says he didn't serve abroad, but he has what appears to be a mic.

Can someone explain, please.

Also, what was Chronic feneral Eczema

His MIC refers to his Silver War Badge.

Action taken - list 0/81 refers to the 0/81 on the top R of the SWB roll page.

(I wonder if feneral is a faulty transcription. A clerk may have mis-read a badly hand-written entry on his service record and it should actually read general.)
