Frajohn Posted 13 October , 2013 Posted 13 October , 2013 I have attached a page from the pension records. At first i believed that he was wounded on 2/9/18, from the Military History Sheet. However on the right hand part of the page it says (well I think it does) that he was in France from 12.6.18 until 26.7.18, after which he was at home. Hopefully one of you experts will be able to help, please Kind regards John
keithmroberts Posted 13 October , 2013 Posted 13 October , 2013 On the history sheet the key numeral could be an elaborate and deceptive 7. Have you checked what his unit was up to on that date? Keith
Frajohn Posted 13 October , 2013 Author Posted 13 October , 2013 Thanks Keith Just trying to download the diaries now. The Martinpuich high speed steam internet connection is behaving as normal with large files. Probably will have to do it during the night when nobody else is using it! Kind regards John
eairicbloodaxe Posted 13 October , 2013 Posted 13 October , 2013 The 9 definitely looks like a fancy 7 to me... compare it to the other 7 on the "Total Service" section. "Elaborate and Deceptive"! Regards Ian
