asanewt Posted 13 October , 2013 Share Posted 13 October , 2013 As title . Just a great photo' really and someone may be looking for one . We know a fair amount about Herbert, who I knew well, thanks to forum pals. I'm guessing it could be late on since he was discharged 1919 with Silver War Badge. All observations invited. eairicbloodaxe Posted 13 October , 2013 Share Posted 13 October , 2013 At first glance, it looks exactly like a photo I saw recently of injured soldiers and nurses outside the huts at Queen Victoria Hospital, Netley, near Southampton. However, the sign on the hut appears to say "Railways & Tramways No1" and the street to the left of the last photo looks a bit like northern terraced housing. Maybe somewhere in Crewe?
