Morning,

Would anyone, by any chance, have access to the War Diary for

14th Battalion, Hampshire Regiment

I have several dates between September 1916 and March 1918 I'd dearly like to cover.

Many thanks,

Graeme

I have Dec 16 to Dec 17. LLT has them disbanded in presumably early March 18. Let me know if I can help with any dates.

Regards

Colin

The diary for the 16th August has the battalion at Hollebeke: 'Barrage by our artillery in conjunction with operations further N at 4.45am lasting until 5.45am. Enemy retaliated. 4 OR killed, 1 died of wounds, 28 wounded.'

17 Sept: 'Relieved by 10th Queens R W Surrey Regt in 8 posts on right, 21st KRR 2 posts and 18th KRR 3 posts on left. A & D Coys marched to bivouac at COTTAGE CAMP (N9b sheet 28[?]) and B & C Coys to SPOIL BANK.' No mention of casualties.

The 16th states: 'Fairly quiet day. Some gas shells over during the night. Casualties 3 OR killed, 6 wounded.'

I hope this helps

Kind regards

Colin
