P.B. Posted 11 October , 2013 Share Posted 11 October , 2013 Hello Everyone Take a look at this link; http://www.filmportal.de/video/infanterie-nahkampf A fantastic German training film from 1918 entitled "Infantry Close Combat" showing stick and egg grenades in use, helmet covers and assault equipment being worn and trench clearing and wire cutting techniques being demonstrated, as well as amoured shields being used. In the close-ups you can see Wurrtemberg belt buckles and also cyphers on the shoulder straps, but I can't narrow down the unit any further. Enjoy, and take a look at the other German WWI period footage on the same website. All the best Paul.
Guest Posted 11 October , 2013 Share Posted 11 October , 2013 Hi Paul. It's a good 'un, right enough. It has been posted before though Click. If you go to the " Video links " sub-forum, egbert has posted quite a few of these. Do keep hunting though, the more the merrier. If you find one that hasn't been posted before, there will be plenty, do add it. If you can Tag it, that would also be very useful. For example, egbert has tagged all these type " Bundesarchiv - video you can also add other tags like " 1918 " or " Somme " or whatever, and this helps find all related threads. Cheers Mike
