Bernard_Lewis Posted 9 October , 2013 Posted 9 October , 2013 Ernest Edmund Leigh Morgan was Borough Architect at Swansea in WW2. When he was given a civil award for his work in WW2 (civil defence) he seemed to have 'MC' after his name. This must relate to his WW1 service where he was an officer in the Engineers from November 1917. I can't spot an MC citation and there is no ref to it in his officer file or MIC. Can any LG search guru spot it, please? Bernard
Philip Wilson Posted 9 October , 2013 Posted 9 October , 2013 He is not listed in Army Honours and Awards by way of supplement to Army List, April 1920 as holding an MC.
Bernard_Lewis Posted 9 October , 2013 Author Posted 9 October , 2013 Thanks Philip. A mystery... Bernard
Old Owl Posted 9 October , 2013 Posted 9 October , 2013 M.C. can stand for Master of Ceremonies--just a thought!
Bernard_Lewis Posted 9 October , 2013 Author Posted 9 October , 2013 Hmm. Hadn't thought of that! Unlikely to feature in the LG though? Bernard
rolt968 Posted 9 October , 2013 Posted 9 October , 2013 Perhaps the beginning of Member of something, but the rest has got lost. Roger.
