Would the EFD inspectors not have stamped the spine, or was that done prior to bend test and final acceptance? Mike Rose’s book may indicate the sequence of markings to be added. Regards, JMB P.S. Has he published his P.1907 book yet? Don't know about the new 1907 book yet - far t-o-o-o expensive for me to buy with the postage! But I'll check. I was thinking the WD stamp on the right ricasso, and no 'WILKINSON' trade mark stamp anywhere... The WD mark under the arrow is fine for a commercial product, but I am puzzld by the lack of a Wilkinson trade mark and blade spine marks... But I am so rusty with P.1888's and thir marking - I have been spending too much time with those 98/05's!
