alan jones Posted 28 September , 2013 Share Posted 28 September , 2013 Hello , just wondering if there are any Wiltshire Rgt experts out there ? I am ideally trying to find enlistment date of Frederick Charles Leach , private 36898 6th Batt Wiltshire regiment . He died as a POW in 1918 . I cant trace his service records and his MIC gives no indication of enlistment etc . Regards Alan

alan jones Posted 28 September , 2013 Author Share Posted 28 September , 2013 Hello Moonraker, Yes I know , it was suggested to me perhaps it might be best headed as Wiltshire Regiment which might attract a Wiltshire expert, sorry if it is a problem . ChasMalmesbury Posted 17 November , 2013 Share Posted 17 November , 2013 Alan One of Malmesbury's dead, Pte. Herbert Willis, 35969, was aged eighteen and a half when he died on 15/4/1918. A newspaper report stated he joined the Regiment on 2 November 1917. Looks like Pte. Leach had a similar brief military career. Charles
