110407 Pte Robert Brown. Tank Corps

My grandfather,originally in East Lancs regiment,but then "volunteered" for the Tank Corps.He originated from Backburn.We believe he was involved with the very early days of the Tank Corps at a base in the Uk,possibly as a mechanic,before being sent to fight in France.We also know he lost an eye during the war.

We have seen his service record and we have his honourable discharge certificate.

Any more information would be greatly appreciated.
