Today I remember my Great Uncle - Lt. Leslie Gordon Ring who was killed in France on Wednesday 18th September 1918.

Leslie who comes from Greymouth, New Zealand was an Officer in the 3rd London Regiment was killed whilst retaking the village of Epehy. He is buried in the Wood Farm Cemetery.

May his sacrifice never be forgotten.
