WARFORUM Posted 12 September , 2013 Share Posted 12 September , 2013 I am back to research and the forum after an unavoidable delay and I have stalled! I am researching my Great Grandfather with a view of visiting parts of his journey through the war. Between November 1916 and March 1917 the 26th Btn war diary show them as being in the Diependaal Sector. The 26th change throughout this time with the 21st Kings Royal Rifles. However, I have not been able to find any trench maps of the area which I believe is SW of St Eloi. Can anyone point me in the right direction where I should continue, or the more skilled than I able to do a Google map overlay. Many thanks
WARFORUM Posted 12 September , 2013 Author Share Posted 12 September , 2013 My mistake folks. They went to St Eloi after this period. The 26th were in the La Clytte area which is where I am struggling to pin down location of the trenches. Ridgewood is also a name that keeps appearing. Really confused myself now!!
