James A Pratt III Posted 14 September , 2013 Share Posted 14 September , 2013 I liked the video the seaplane in the first clips is a Lohner Type M. The only markings I was able to make out were the red-white-red rudder markings which date it to 1914. In the later part of the year red-white -red stripes were added to the wing tips and tailplane. The battleship with the triple gun turrets is one of the Tegetthof class. As for the U-boat it might be the U-5. Some U-boat guy needs to look at this film. If it is the U-5 Georg Ritter (later baron) Von Trapp was the commander so he is probasbly one of the officers in this film clip. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
