In case anyone's wondering what it is, it's "The Tank Corps" by Major Clough Williams-Ellis, MC and A. Williams-Ellis - the American imprint.

(I'm the proud owner of a Country Life first edition, inscribed "In memory of L.G.J. 1917 - I always wondered who that was but I don't suppose I shall ever know.)

I got a modern reproduction of " The Signal Service in the European War 1914-1919", and it's awful. The online copy I downloaded from "Internet Archive" is far better in print quality, and the diagrams at the back of the book, a whole world away from the c**p that the repro has....

I feel the publishers of the reproductions are guilty of delivering a very poor copy of the stuff freely available on the net..!!!

If I'd know how shoddy today's product was going to be, I would not have bought it

regards

Tom
